Internship!

I got a (sort of) paid marketing internship today! At SUCH a cool business! And the people seem amazing, and it seems like it is totally going to open doors into the nonprofit world for me. Yaaaay!

And in honor of this occasion, and because I don't have any business-y clothes in my "just graduated from college" wardrobe, I bought this coat:

Sorry for neglecting the blog, I've been filling a bunch of crochet orders and doing a lot of planning/organizing for my upcoming craft fairs!

I love this robot tie. I think I am gonna make one to give someone for Christmas.

I LOVE these cards! They say things like "miss" and "heart" in binary. Adorable.

My Invader Zim Shirt, my favorite stripey skirt, black tights and pink fishnet thigh-highs, and my fuzzy boots - my outfit for my second trip to the American Idiot rock opera. You seriously need to get your butt over to Berkeley and see it right now, it is going to be HUGE!

What I'm Reading:

So I am not actually reading Leviathan yet, so if you go out and buy it and it sucks, that's not my fault, but the synopsis is, "World War 1 goes steampunk in this brilliant science fiction for young adults" how could I not be intrigued?

The Song that is Stuck in my Head:

"Last Night on Earth" by Green Day - from their album 21st Century Breakdown, and it's one of the best songs in the rock opera American Idiot!!

Who I'm in Love with at the Moment:

Theo Stockman!!! Their weren't any cute pictures of him from American Idiot, so I am posting this one of him from Hair. I love him. A lot. Just so you know. (He's the cute one with the shorter hair). He wasn't one of the main characters in American Idiot, but it was more or less an ensemble cast, so he had a bunch of solos and stuff. And is ADORABLE.

Bad Business Experience

So. I've had my first bad business experience.

I agreed to do a giveaway with someone, who appeared to have a professional blog, with great customizations and over 100 followers.

She posted my giveaway and it was full of typos and spelling errors. I send her a message letting her know that there were a few typos in the giveaway blog post and she wrote back, "I spell checked it - what typos?" It was about four sentences long, and still she couldn't go back and read it herself? So I proceeded to nicely point them all out to her (minus all the bad grammar, I figured I would let that go) and she wrote me back, and apologized, saying she was in a hurry when she posted it, but then NEVER fixed any of the errors!

This giveaway was supposed to go until October 30th. Well, I signed on to blogger today, to look at new blog posts, and there was one from her, announcing the giveaway winner! She decided that she didn't want to wait until the 30th (that's more than three weeks from now) BUT did not inform me and still hasn't. I have to make the bees that I am giving away, maybe a heads up that I need to make them now would have been appreciated? And more importantly, I would have publicized the giveaway like crazy yesterday if I had known it was the last day for people to enter!

Anyway, nothing bad has happened to me as a result of this, it was just a negative experience and I am appalled at this person's bad business, and nonexistent writing skills - she is BLOGGING for pete's sake - it is nothing but glorified writing!

Anyway, this was a learning experience for me, and I wanted to share it all with you, advice would be appreciated :)
